HBCU Alliance Partners Inc. Scholarship
HBCU Alliance Partners Inc. has parterned with The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) to give much-deserved scholarship awards to outstanding students that are currently enrolled at one of the nation's HBCUs or PBIs. The program aims to help African American students take advantage of the opportunity to study at college institutions that want them to succeed.
Selected scholars will be awarded a one-year scholarship for the upcoming academic school year, that may be used to cover the costs of tuition and fees, on-campus room and board and required textbooks bought from member schools. The funds will be applied in the fall and spring semesters.
Applicants must be full-time students enrolled at one of TMCF’s 47 member-schools, must have a current GPA of 3.0 or higher, must exhibit financial need, must demonstrate leadership abilities through a variety of measures, and must be a U.S. Citizens or a legal permanent resident with a valid permanent resident card.
Applicants must submit the following documents for consideration:
* Resume
* Student Aid Report (received from filing FAFSA)
* Most recent college transcript (official or unofficial)
* Recommendation from a current school professor or faculty member (must be completed online by recommender)
In addition, all applicants must answer a provided essay question.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in APRIL, and the award amount is up to $4,500.
