The Executive Leadership Council (ELC) is an organization that aims to create more African American executives and leaders at America's top corporations. Their scholarship program offers qualifying students scholarship awards and internship opportunities to help them along the way. They also mentor students and help students land promising career opportunities with their sponsors and partners.
The ELC offers five undergraduate scholarship programs:
* Three scholarships are designed for students pursuing degrees in business
* One scholarship has been designed for students enrolled in a mechanical or chemical engineering program
* And one scholarship is designed for students pursuing degrees in business insurance, risk management, or a related field
Scholarships are awarded to students who exhibit academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to community service. In addition to being awarded a scholarship, an elite group of students will be chosen to participate in The ELC’s Honors Symposium. The Symposium is a multi-day professional development experience offering ELC scholars career development and networking opportunities.
The deadline to apply is usually in MARCH, and the award amount VARIES.
